Hello!

My name is Carlos and I’m glad you are visiting my company's website, PiTech Design. Here I have decided to expose and offer the content, skills, and knowledge that I have acquired over time, thanks to my exposure to different industries and projects that I have been involved in, and that I discovered I am passionate about.

Originally from Colombia, I had the opportunity to prepare academically in architectural and mechanical design at the Instituto Técnico Superior "Dámaso Zapata". Subsequently, I obtained my degree as a Civil Engineer at the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS). During my undergraduate time, I worked in areas such as residential construction and design, road design, and mechanical design and modelling, making use of computational tools.

Since moving to Australia, I have worked primarily in the construction industry as a residential services designer and in the energy industry as a structural designer, having the chance to get close to Australian standards. I have always believed that with will and determination, the proposed goals can be achieved, and continuous preparation in my area of interest has been key to my professional development. Therefore, I have stayed updated in the field of engineering design, obtaining postgraduate degrees with the Delft University of Technology (TUDelft) in Linear Modelling using the Finite Element Method, and with the Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) in Structural Analysis and Design.
